Czech pop-music as a platform for debating women's sexuality
Bláhová, Andrea ; Kobová, Ĺubica (advisor) ; Kolářová, Kateřina (referee)
The thesis titled Czech Popular Music as a Platform for Thematization of Female Sexuality deals with young Czech female performers who, through the lyrics of their songs, interviews in the media, and performances at concerts, thematize the female experience. I analysed the selected song lyrics of five female performers, their interviews and notes from the field diary using qualitative content analysis and further interpreted the results in seven different thematic categories. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, I mainly focus on defining post-feminism and post-feminist sensibility, popular culture and the perception of physicality in the environment of popular music. The empirical part consists of methodology, qualitative content analysis and subsequent interpretation.
The Impact of Injuries on the Mental Health of Athletes
Vighová, Kristýna ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Panská, Šárka (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of athletes returning to training and match process after injury, with focus on their mental health. The goal is to indentify negative psychological states that subsequently affect the performance of athletes, and their frequency in athletes returning to the training and match process after injury. A sub-goal is to find out the following possible variables involved in increasing/moderating these conditions. The work verifies the frequency of occurence of negative psychological states; investigates the influence of repeated injuries, differences between woman and man athletes, differences in individual and team athletes, and also verifies the frequency of use of coping strategies an their specific form. The work is devided into a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part was prepared on the basis of Czech and foreign language professional literature. In the research part,we use the psychological questionnaire CSAI-2 to determine the occurrence of anxiety and its influence on the performance of individuals in sportsman, who have suffered injuries. We expected that the injury would increase the athletes's anxiety at the time of returning to the training and match process. Transformation as part of colonial identity
Vidím, Václav ; Fulka, Josef (advisor) ; Bierhanzl, Jan (referee)
(english): From a logical point of view, the colonial system is based on the difference between races, where one controls the other. This aspect significantly impacts the subjects from the perspective of their identity because their skin colour brings them significant disadvantages in how they live. The consequence of this discomfort can be the disintegration or assumption of a foreign identity, a pathological relationship to one's physicality. In the 20th century, many theorists of colonialism and post-colonialism analyzed these consequences. They are mainly Frantz Fanon, Albert Memmi and the American author Nella Larsen. All three of these provide a perspective that involves an active change in appearance as a way of integration that is not otherwise possible because, as David Macey writes in Frantz Fanon's biography, there are only two ways out, putting on a white mask, or rebellion. Therefore, if we turn to the first option, it is necessary to monitor the consequences for the subject undergoing this change and the one who observes it. That is also how the colonizer is doing. Thus, this work will not work with identity as something homogeneous, unchanging and motionless but as something that undergoes constant change.
The Confidence Gap and Its Influence on Women in Leadership
Kudrnáčová, Michaela ; Šanderová, Jadwiga (advisor) ; Voleková, Hana (referee)
Confidence gap a její vliv na participaci žen ve vedoucích pozicích Michaela Kudrnáčová Abstract This thesis is aimed on the gap between male and female confidence and its influence on women in leadership. The paper serves as a summary of the most important current information concerning this topic. The aim is to find the extend of the deficit of women's confidence on participation on women in leadership, and to identify this problem in the Czech context. Depending on the literature and other available empirical findings, women are to a great extend lead to the stereotypical behaviour since their young age. This is highly influenced by the corresponding gender roles and it can result in the deficit in their confidence and also negatively influence the participation in the leadership. Findings of this paper open a societal discussion about the way women are perceived and accepted by the society, and the way to change the situation of working women for the better.

Philosophical possibilities of question of personal identity
Endrle, Jaroslav ; Palkoska, Jan (advisor) ; Hill, James (referee)
(in English): The topic of this thesis is the problem of personal identity. Its aim is to develop alternative approach to this question. To achieve this, the following course is choosen. Firstly, three most important assumptions are exposed. These assumptions steer debate about this topic in analytic philosophy and are regarded as main cause of its difficulties. These suppositions are - the ontological conception of identity, logical dissociability of mind and body and the method of thought experiment. Essential part of following thesis can be taken as proposal of technique that can overcome these assumptions and problems they cause. This attempt begins at the end of first part with development of general criticism of ontological conception of identity and with presentation of epistemic conception of identity. The second and crucial part deals with the theory of conceptual system. This theory provides a basis for alternative approach to question of personal identity. It will block the logical dissociability of criterions of personal identity - the dissociability of mind/consciousness and living body. It will also serve as fundament for epistemic conception of identity. Finaly, it is used for tracing the origin of concept "person". It will be shown that the concept of person descends from the...
